Coolant leval sensor? - underground375 - 08-09-2013 Hi all after having the front of my car off today I found my radiator had a coolant level sensor on it but no plug? Did the ph1 d turbo come with the wiring for this? As it is 100% a ph1 rad RE: Coolant leval sensor? - cwspellowe - 08-09-2013 Pretty sure the ph1 has the sensor on the front of the rad and there should be a plug for it. Can't remember which way round it is, but mine has a sensor from a ph1 rad and the ph2 loom doesn't reach it, just havent bothered extending it yet. RE: Coolant leval sensor? - underground375 - 08-09-2013 I did find a brown to pin plug hiding by the water bottle but cant work out where it gos to? Reckon this is the plug? RE: Coolant leval sensor? - cwspellowe - 08-09-2013 Probably. Can't remember how many pins are on the sensor but i'd imagine it'd be a two pin one. Plug it in and see what happens RE: Coolant leval sensor? - underground375 - 08-09-2013 Lol what I was thinking, but how will I no if its working? I don't see any lights on my dash to indicate it? Like you do with oil level? RE: Coolant leval sensor? - cwspellowe - 08-09-2013 Well.. when there's no coolant you'll know RE: Coolant leval sensor? - Toms306 - 08-09-2013 Should only be two pin...as soon as the pins lose contact (no water between them) the light will illuminate.... But it wont flash up at all if the level is correct. RE: Coolant leval sensor? - underground375 - 08-09-2013 hmm plug the brown plug in then empty the coolant? sounds like a temp' plan? |
