Another bottom arm fails - Frosty - 07-09-2013 Jimbo had a bottom arm go on his HDi the other day. We sorted it out this morning but here is the arm Another high quality after market arm it would seem to be RE: Another bottom arm fails - Tom - 07-09-2013 Hahahaha that is dreadful! RE: Another bottom arm fails - Piggy - 07-09-2013 nice!!!! RE: Another bottom arm fails - Grant - 07-09-2013 I've never seen the front bush detach like that. I know the P-bush is prone to removing itself, but jeeeez, that coulda been awful! RE: Another bottom arm fails - miles - 07-09-2013 Snap, this one only lasted a few weeks too, Fitted by a MOT garage, But for £20.00 what can you expect RE: Another bottom arm fails - Rippthrough - 07-09-2013 Good old cheap chinese shite. RE: Another bottom arm fails - Piggy - 07-09-2013 who cares if it was a fiver or fifty quid...if thats the price they choose to sell it at, fine. But its no excuse to make suspension from old cheese. people say, 'I dont mind if it breaks, it was cheap'...no, I do mind. Cheap or expensive, it should be fit for purpose RE: Another bottom arm fails - Poodle - 08-09-2013 Holy f*ck that's horrendous! Letter to the manufacturer? RE: Another bottom arm fails - Piggy - 08-09-2013 I also hate those coz they rivet the ruddy ball joint in. so if the bushes do last a decent time and ya ball joint goes, you spend ages grinding the sod out RE: Another bottom arm fails - Seb_Ryan - 08-09-2013 Mine did this in my miami blue ph1.. wheel came off and f*cked quite abit.. was a good job I was only doind 15mph. Only the balljoint stayed in btw RE: Another bottom arm fails - Jonny81191 - 08-09-2013 I've seen too many fail like this. Often on 206's when often as not the whole wheel and hub comes away, leaving the car beached on it's subframe. RE: Another bottom arm fails - Toms306 - 08-09-2013 Shiiiiit, what if that happened at 70mph on a motorway full of traffic! RE: Another bottom arm fails - Mattcheese31 - 08-09-2013 could do with knowing where they were from so no-one else buys them tbh . . . . RE: Another bottom arm fails - bigtone0777 - 08-09-2013 Like Tom said it don't matter what price it was, that could have cost life worse case scenario =-O Just imagine that at 70 mph sending the car into oncoming traffic. There's no excuse for that kind of rubbish being sold! RE: Another bottom arm fails - miles - 08-09-2013 No comeback really, what Eastern produced item really cares about being fit for purpose, There's allot more products on the market like this you will be surprised. RE: Another bottom arm fails - C2K - 08-09-2013 This reminds me I need to check the shit the garage put on my brothers car. Probably junk like this. Surely they have to meet a British Standard to be sold over here though? Obviously not if they're a Chinese ebay shop though lol. RE: Another bottom arm fails - miles - 08-09-2013 None at all, Some parts I have been given to fit don;t even work from new, No standard as far as I know RE: Another bottom arm fails - Frosty - 08-09-2013 (08-09-2013, 01:16 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Shiiiiit, what if that happened at 70mph on a motorway full of traffic! It happened to Jimbo on a main road doing 60ish Avoid after market arms I think is the answer to these problems. You can see by looking at it it isn't very good quality RE: Another bottom arm fails - Jimbo - 09-09-2013 Yeah it was 60mph ish wheel folded under the arch. Skidded to a halt on a busy main road managed to ditch it in a layby. After only having the car a week it put me off somewhat. Had no idea that it had cheap arms fitted and certainty will check on any other cars from now . Had to replace Driveshaft Arm Balljoint Arb link P bush. Somehow it disnt actually damage the wing too bad. Id say luck was on my side could have been very nasty RE: Another bottom arm fails - Poodle - 09-09-2013 Managed to get it into a layby with half the front end hanging off?? Fair play mucker, got to respect that lol! Another bottom arm fails - Frosty - 09-09-2013 (09-09-2013, 12:46 PM)Poodle Wrote: Managed to get it into a layby with half the front end hanging off??
