Bonnet/Boot lid - Toast - 02-09-2013

Morning ladies and gentlemen,

Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with transportation of large 306 parts in a 306.

Found a new bonnet and boot lid on ebay and the guy wants pick up only which is understandable but will they fit.

Dont mind doing two trips but would like to know if they fit first.

any helps much appreciate

Ta Muchley

You can fit both in the back of a Vauxhall insignia or Renault Laguna if that's any help?

But seriously, of you take the bench and rear of the seats out they shoul just fit. Take plenty of padding!!

suggest.....if he is scrapping the car...swapping them there and then?

the boot lid fits fine but bonnet is a bit of a bugger.

Will defiantly look at swapping straight over but will take the seats out just in case. Always a bit of a giggle trying to fit large parts into small cars

I've had a bonnet in my Rallye with all seats in and parcel shelf still in. Loads of room, just be careful.

If it comes off a 306, it goes in a 306!

Qft!

RE: Bonnet/Boot lid - Toast - 03-09-2013

Yes it all fitted. well boot lid and a set of wheels which were going for cheap. Change the Bonnet on site boot in the back.
Does anyone know the implications of swapping a boot in regards to the VIN number not matching?

RE: Bonnet/Boot lid - puglove - 03-09-2013

no there is no issue with thar.

there are plugs for the boot lid wiring next to the rear seat belt reel before you cutting the wires Big Grin

RE: Bonnet/Boot lid - Toast - 03-09-2013

Yeah traced back all the wires and disconnected without damaging any wires, only the rear sprayer tube was snapped but ill get a connector for that.
