newly fitted cyclones :-) - krisjones91 - 31-08-2013 after waiting three weeks for the new bolts to come. i have finally fitted my cyclones. im well impressed with the look of the car with them on. RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Piggy - 31-08-2013 woh...moon buggy alert!! look very neat mate....but needs some lowering!!! RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - krisjones91 - 31-08-2013 yeah i did notice mate. espec the front. there running 195 45 15. the gap looks massive on the front compared to the crappy tsw alloys i had on there. moneys tight at the mo tho so doing a bit at a time. seeing as my scenic is being a ass at the mo as well lol. bloody renaults. RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Stephen - 31-08-2013 Does look like its on stilts! Haha 45 is rather low profile, everyone runs 50 at least as far as I know! They look good though! I want some silver clones for mine! RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Piggy - 01-09-2013 yeah the '45 wont help. lowering springs can be had for £30-40 sometimes with gti struts and doing the rear is just some effort and time if you handy with the tools RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Matt - 01-09-2013 45?! Were they on a 106 before hand? RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Stephen - 01-09-2013 my car doesnt have that much arch gap when i jack it up! RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - PUGNUT_XS - 01-09-2013 looks straight though. Bury the Renault ![]() RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - puglove - 01-09-2013 looks much better. needs lots of lows and some 50s now RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Toms306 - 01-09-2013 55s fill the arches much better, even at standard height. ![]() RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Stephen - 01-09-2013 My arches are filled enough with 50s :p newly fitted cyclones :-) - devils_fuel - 01-09-2013 (01-09-2013, 09:02 AM)Toms306 Wrote: 55s fill the arches much better, even at standard height. + I find the ride slightly better RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - krisjones91 - 01-09-2013 Im not sure what they were running on before. Bought them off tyronnester. Il have to get some lowering springs for the front. I wont change the tyres for a while as they came with decent ones on. Same here, but the youngsters don't seem to care about that! ![]() 55s at standard height btw.... Fills the rear arch so much better. ![]() ![]() ![]() newly fitted cyclones :-) - devils_fuel - 01-09-2013 55's at -40mm ![]() No pics but now -45mm and looks better RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Toms306 - 01-09-2013 You sure that's 40mm!? Heres mine on 30mm Eibachs... ![]() Also 40mm drop on Koni's... ![]() And 40mm on cheap shit springs... Same cyclones and 55 profiles on each car btw. ![]() ![]() newly fitted cyclones :-) - devils_fuel - 01-09-2013 They were -40 springs for a saxo...so about -42mm then ![]() RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Toms306 - 01-09-2013 Still looked a bit high for 40mm to me lol. But it seems the estate drops more than the hatches now I've found the other pics. Not sure why, they're the same at the front lol! RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Curt - 01-09-2013 There's no way they're -40mm for a Saxo... They would drop a lot lower and ride like shite. I think 50s look a lot better than 55s on a lowered car, they tend to look a bit balloon-esque. I can't imagine you'd notice that much difference in comfort on a lowered car, either. Lastly, Tom, you are a youngster you tart. RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Toms306 - 01-09-2013 (01-09-2013, 10:55 AM)Curt Wrote: There's no way they're -40mm for a Saxo... As for being a youngster, age is just a number. I prefer ride comfort, not caring about speed bumps and grip over looks any day! And 5 doors!! ![]() Also...while I was looking through Pug pics came across this.......... Poverty spec 1.4 Miami, standard height...only mod was the 'clones. Check that arch gap! ![]() ![]() RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Stephen - 01-09-2013 Check out this arch gap ![]() ![]() ![]() Hahaha RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Toms306 - 01-09-2013 14" swallows? I can beat that! 13" steels.... ![]() ![]() newly fitted cyclones :-) - devils_fuel - 01-09-2013 (01-09-2013, 10:55 AM)Curt Wrote: There's no way they're -40mm for a Saxo... They were from airey the fairy and advertised as -40mm drop, only while fitting I found out they were from a saxo lol The ride quality was ok until they both snapped at the top then the quality was...erm better lol. Now on gti shocks with -50mm springs and all is well RE: newly fitted cyclones :-) - Eeyore - 01-09-2013 get it lowered! |
