Basically I was just wondering if it is possible to swap the central locking from a ph3 to a ph1/2 so it can have the longer range

Yes it is, but you need to change the Door locks/looms, loom under the carpet and the one behind the dash and fit the Bsi
It's lots of work unless you already have the dash out

I thought about this a while back mate and there's a fair list of things to change, suppose if you already have anything it wouldn't be too bad though

Iv done it but i also fitted electric windows ,auto wipers and replaced the driver's door hinge loom
