Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - x-axis - 27-08-2013 Radiator shop bled my radiator in the rain yesterday, and driving home I've noticed that the car idles weird when I slow down or park. I'm guessing that maybe water got to the plugs or something. Gonna get that checked in a bit. Anyone got any other ideas? RE: Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - Piggy - 27-08-2013 did they bleed the rest of the system, the rads on 306s normally bleed themselves, its the other two bleed caps that need doing, did they do them? was a it a rad' change for the reason for bleeding?? what car/engine? RE: Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - C2K - 27-08-2013 I think he is suggesting due to the rain mate, lol. RE: Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - Grant - 27-08-2013 I'm more wondering why they would bleed the radiator with the spark plugs out? Lol RE: Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - Toms306 - 27-08-2013 Surely he means loom plugs, not spark plugs! ![]() RE: Strange idle after radiator bleed...in the rain - x-axis - 27-08-2013 Ok. I found the problem. Turns out the connector for the oxygen sensor was in a sad state due to age, somehow the water shorted the circuitry for said sensor. I changed the connector, cleared the error, and all is now just fine. 306 Estate Ph3 |
