My 1.4 decides to start being a bitch. the revs drop to 0 when i turn round corners.... someone please tell me why as i barely make it round roundabouts.

Are you dipping the clutch?
Sounds stupid, but check the oil.
Could be fuel related too. Is it when you turn right?

Sounds like the ICV to me, whip it out clean it up & try it.

Check the gearbox earth is good, I had a similar issue on one of the 1.4s where the earth had broken and was losing contact as the engine moved under cornering etc.

Cleaned the IACV, earth and crank sensor and touch wood haven't had a problem yet. Cheers guys
