Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Norledge - 14-08-2013 Picked up Scott's old HDi tonight for Ruan. Left his in NW London at 11. Only just got back. 3.15. Guess why... A what? i thought the only type of wank was a fast and furious one? You stopped at a services and it wouldn't start again because the battery is nackered? RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Ruan - 14-08-2013 Mechanical sympathy of a brick. And road awareness skills of a toaster... This was all after I was out the car, Stu was saying how much he loved it when I was in the car... Re: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - vlj - 14-08-2013 I quote Ruan " Lol, I was fine, Stu got caught nailing it off a Roundabout by a police van... Then smashed off a boost hose on a speed bump... All after I was out the car might I add..." RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Piggy - 14-08-2013 I have always assumed the road awareness skills of a toaster were quite good, its the kettles you wana look out for RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Norledge - 14-08-2013 I was enjoying it. Till I had the spanish inquisition from the po po. 55/56 in a 50. Why you on trade plates, where'd you get the car, whose car is it, where you going. That took up 45 minutes. Get to Chipping Norton, stop off in a petrol station for some caffeine, scrape on the way out, think nothing of it. There's a diversion around the town, over the biggest speed bumps known to man - the minor boost leak turns into a complete boost leak. Carry on out of Chipping Norton, Coal everywhere. Coming up the hill, drop a cog fuel cut kicks in. I try in vein to bump it, nothing. Pull off, turn it off, leave it 5 mins, start it, nothing. Leave it another 5 minutes start it, perfic. Every down change, every hill, every roundabout, every junction - fuel cut. And not bumpable fuel cut, proper stop it and wait fuel cut. FML. RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Kimmie - 14-08-2013 But it's these fun and games that make owning a 306 fun RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Piggy - 14-08-2013 have you ever driven a tuned diesel before?? and yeah mega fail in Chippy...you can get round without going over the speedhumps! RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Norledge - 14-08-2013 Wouldn't have had that problem with a VAG. That'd have blown up before we got to the M40. RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Dum-Dum - 14-08-2013 Yeah the fuel cut is fun on the 3 plug ecus you actually have to stop to restart it. On the single plug you don't Re: RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - THE_Liam - 14-08-2013 (14-08-2013, 08:10 AM)Norledge Wrote: Wouldn't have had that problem with a VAG. Yeah true, bits of dual mass flywheel and console bush everywhere! RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Piggy - 14-08-2013 or you would have had no issues at all until you fell asleep at the wheel from pure boredom RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Niall - 14-08-2013 (14-08-2013, 08:26 AM)Piggy Wrote: or you would have had no issues at all until you fell asleep at the wheel from pure boredom Or pass out from the repair bill from breakdown? RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Ruan - 14-08-2013 I've never seen Stu smile so much driving a 306... He was loving it... And I know that deep down he has love for that car because it breaks down religiously, is low, there are numerous things wrong.. But that's why it's so epic!!! RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Toms306 - 14-08-2013 How do you break a boost hose on a speed bump? All I ever break is splitters and undertrays! RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - ginge191 - 14-08-2013 Stu is a quality guy, was awesome meeting you yesterday!!! Literally, if anyone wants help from him, all he will provide is a size 13 foot; but it works!! Again roo, thanks so much! Vaughan worked his magic on fitting the FMIC and mounted one of the hoses to the floor so it wouldnt rattle against the sump then realised he actually needs to be able to move the car so just drove off and left it all dragging on the floor RE: Another reason for me to hate 306's. - Niall - 14-08-2013 (14-08-2013, 08:53 AM)ginge191 Wrote: Stu is a quality guy, was awesome meeting you yesterday!!!
