180mm clutch - 306Dan - 13-08-2013

hiya, does anyone know the max torque or bhp figures a valeo 180mm clutch can hold.
thanks in advance

iirc they start to give when they reach about 220bhp and / or 200lbft, it'll all be relative though, they may 'last' past those figures, but not for long, your best bet if you fancy running a little more power is to fit one of the 200mm clutches from a saxo/106, a couple of the people on the AXOC run standard 200mm on their turbo's, albeit the peeps who run 300+bhp use paddle / ceramic clutches

hope this helps,

Approximately 200-220lb/ft static, but wear at that will be very high, and you'll probably find the clutch overheats and slips on full bore gearchanges and launches. 160-170lbft is more reasonable if you want it to last.

mine slips at 190lb/ft under full throttle acceleration when it's hot. holds ok otherwise
