T's been five years... - samass - 12-08-2013 ...that I've lived in London for now, and now the silence of the countryside disturbs me... You can hear EVERYTHING and it's freaky! And the stars.... There's so many.... Epic..... RE: T's been five years... - 4WayDiablo - 12-08-2013 Tomatoes! RE: T's been five years... - lolsteve - 12-08-2013 Soo many tomatoes RE: T's been five years... - samass - 12-08-2013 and shooting stars, beyond epic! RE: T's been five years... - Dum-Dum - 12-08-2013 Dude you will get used to peace and quiet. London is weird, there's ALWAYS this background hum that you never really notice unless you get actual silence. RE: T's been five years... - cully - 13-08-2013 same reason i dont like towns or citys too many people too busy too noisy too smelly too dirty RE: T's been five years... - Norledge - 13-08-2013 (13-08-2013, 06:57 AM)cully Wrote: too many people +1 Sam, my old house was to 'city' for me... just wait till you see where i am now RE: T's been five years... - 306Puggy - 13-08-2013 I still don't understand why people hang around cities. Some places of Kent are urban enough for me. Living just on the outskirts of a medium sized town is best I think. RE: T's been five years... - Poodle - 13-08-2013 I miss the countryside, cities suck balls. RE: T's been five years... - lolsteve - 13-08-2013 Totton for life, all the comfort of the countryside while still having enough major shops within walking distance RE: T's been five years... - adamm306 - 13-08-2013 (13-08-2013, 08:04 AM)lolsteve Wrote: Totton for life, all the comfort of the countryside while still having enough major shops within walking distance Ewwww Southampton :p :p RE: T's been five years... - MissTap_GTI6 - 13-08-2013 (13-08-2013, 07:45 AM)Poodle Wrote: I miss the countryside, cities suck balls. Living the f*cking dream, Stu... RE: T's been five years... - 306Puggy - 13-08-2013 Wow, now that is a friggin' chav hole. How can you take the beautiful British countryside and make it look like that/lol. RE: T's been five years... - Norledge - 13-08-2013 Chavhole!? It's a chuffing Farm! Rent free living FTW! And anyway Ruan... it's completely different now... The clio's gone RE: T's been five years... - adamm306 - 13-08-2013 looks awesome id love to live on a farm RE: T's been five years... - silverzx - 13-08-2013 Countryside is definitely an easier and more enjoyable place to live. But it can be boring... And solitary... RE: T's been five years... - Dum-Dum - 13-08-2013 Stu you cant complain if your living on a farm rent free, Ill come to your "house" warming, ill bring beer. I reckon my place is nearly the perfect balance of town/countryside. All I can see out the windows is countryside (fields and trees and stuff) but I'm within a half hour walk of a Peugeot dealership, 2 mainline stations, a 24 hour Tesco and places where you can drink till 3am and buy kebabs. RE: T's been five years... - Norledge - 13-08-2013 You want to see the bonfire we're building for bonfire night... OC meet? RE: T's been five years... - Toms306 - 13-08-2013 I really don't get what people like about the countryside..... I live there, it's shit. I wouldn't want to live in the town centre, but on the outskirts of a town would be my ideal place. Everything within walking distance or a short drive - popping to the shop/bank takes an hour, 25mile round trip from here. Frozen food is defrosting before you get home. Costs nearly a fiver in fuel alone, and then if you have to pay to park as well costs even more. Stupid winding roads with too many old people, cyclists and tractors and very few (safe) overtaking places. Dirty country roads covered in slippery mud and shit from farms - and the smell of horse manure, silage, pig slurry is disgusting. So what are the upsides lol?? RE: T's been five years... - silverzx - 13-08-2013 Reasons for countryside: Peace. Quiet. Minimal traffic. Minimal crime. Wildlife. Nudity/sex without penalty. Fresh air. Minimal fast food chains. Minimal relatives. Minimal neighbours. Minimal chavs. Free to grow tomatoes/herbs. Horsey sluts. RE: T's been five years... - Matt - 13-08-2013 If you like the country you should move to the Isle of Wight, even when you are in a "city" you re still in the bloody country side lol. Bloody awesome, quiet and no one pisses me off RE: T's been five years... - Pete - 13-08-2013 "The sticks" FTW. I live in a semi-rural village and wouldn't swap it for anything, Halifax/Huddersfield both a short drive away yet I have this on my front door Yorkshire. Gods own |
