Powerflex lower engine mount - titch - 11-08-2013 Has anyone fitted one of these to an hdi, i have been looking at the one they do for diesels. And when you knock the old one out can it be knocked out either way, or will it only go one way? Its just i will be doing it using a pit so it would be easier to knock it out towards the drivers wheel, rather than removing the wheel and doing it that way. Cheers Titch RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - samass - 11-08-2013 well, little jonny has a lower mount he made from an old mallet, which will be bloody harder than the powerflex one, and its fine, much smoother than i was expecting also, you can twat them out any old which way RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - titch - 11-08-2013 also, you can twat them out any old which way [/quote] Sweet thanks for that Titch RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Bender - 12-08-2013 Hense the name "FLEX" lol. That's what i was afraid of as i will be doing it using a pit and it would be much easier if i could knock the old one out towards the wheel rather than the other way. Anyone know for sure? RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Dum-Dum - 12-08-2013 Ill go look at the one in the garage and tell you. RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Slam Wagon - 12-08-2013 I cut the rubber out of mine, put a slice in the edge and peeled it out, i followed the guide, just make sure you use sharp blades and its a pretty simple job. RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Dum-Dum - 12-08-2013 Just been out and cant find it, obviously buried under the pile of 306 bits. How did you remove the outer casing bit? Looking at the guide you saw through it and then bend the edge up and knock it out. RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Slam Wagon - 12-08-2013 Yup, thats exactly what i did, got an electric saw with a lil metal blade so took about two seconds, then just hammer and screw driver to bend it in on itself, just fell out after that. RE: Powerflex lower engine mount - Niall - 12-08-2013 They definitely knock out towards the drivers side. I know because this is how i did mine! Was a bastard of a job!
