No point taping valve cause I've sprayed them black anyway I used macsalvors trade etching spray, best I've used and only like £8 for a 500ml tin. Then macsalvors trade gloss black. £4.40 for a 500ml tin (does all four wheels easily) then the macsalvors trade lacquer lol, so the whole job just cost me under £20 haha RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - 7057sam - 11-08-2013 I used the card trick works quite well Halford laquer is pretty good need 3-4 coats of it though RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 11-08-2013 (11-08-2013, 01:20 PM)7057sam Wrote: I used the card trick works quite well Yeah I found the cards are a lot better than trying to mask it off and spray RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 12-08-2013 Update All cyclones are finished and on, coilovers are on too, being lowered to the right height tomorrow and also the backs being lowered to match Had bit of trouble getting the drop link off so had to cut off the bolt with the Torx inside as the Torx had rounded off :/ £22 later, new drop links on. More pics tomorrow when it's lowered RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 13-08-2013 New wheels on Carbon wrapped the bump strips and front badge to follow the black theme. Just the torsion bar and front ride height to sort out properly and it should be done.....for now. Opinions please RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 14-08-2013 (13-08-2013, 10:15 AM)Keeno123 Wrote: New wheels on Oh yeah, and an espace splitter too RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Piggy - 14-08-2013 looking better RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 14-08-2013 Thanks piggy Wasn't too sure about the bump strips but they don't look too bad, think theyll grow on me Just need to get the back a bit lower, possibly take the tow bar off. Looking for a new back and front bumper as mines seen better days :/ Front could probably just benefit from a resprayed but the backs got a couple cracks :/ RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - bigtone0777 - 14-08-2013 (11-08-2013, 01:16 PM)Keeno123 Wrote:(11-08-2013, 12:48 PM)bigtone0777 Wrote: I wish I had a friend like yours =-O I wish I had a friend like you lol (13-08-2013, 10:15 AM)Keeno123 Wrote: New wheels on Looking good RE: Cyclone refurb for my 306 :) - Keeno123 - 15-08-2013 (14-08-2013, 11:32 AM)bigtone0777 Wrote:(11-08-2013, 01:16 PM)Keeno123 Wrote:(11-08-2013, 12:48 PM)bigtone0777 Wrote: I wish I had a friend like yours =-O Lol, I was desperate and he was desperate and secretly I wanted coilovers all along lol And thanks, just needs a bloody good clean inside and out now lol |
