grinding noise from front - rd070707 - 30-07-2013 Suddenly developed a grinding noise from what seems to be the front drivers side tonight, I pulled in immediately and realised it wasn't engine related so drove on home. Its in any gear and speed it seems, any ideas? also noticed when starting/ stopping the car I'm getting a clonk, guessing one of the engine mounts as I am also getting it when changing gear at low speeds. Which ones it likely to be? RE: grinding noise from front - Ben - 30-07-2013 Lower mount would be my guess, I'd check the fork bush as well. RE: grinding noise from front - rd070707 - 30-07-2013 You mean it would cause the grinding noise too? and by fork bush you mean the lower mount fork? RE: grinding noise from front - rd070707 - 31-07-2013 You all ready for good laugh? the 'grinding' noise was indeed a large twig from when my dad cut the hedge the other day, wedged under the car between the wishbone and the wheel. Fail. RE: grinding noise from front - Piggy - 31-07-2013 epic. fail. RE: grinding noise from front - rd070707 - 31-07-2013 I know lol. Was too dark last night and car was too low to see it underneath. At least its not an issue now lol |
