Hi All :) - John1.4 - 25-07-2013

Hi everyone, my name is john, and I've recently bought my first 306 (that i'm going to drive Tongue ) for what I like to think as a low price - I found out the reason for that when I viewed the car.... Blown headgasket Sad but as I've done my fair share of those over the years it posed no real problem,

i'll be posting a lot of updates on this car as it's not only my daily driver, but my project Smile and it'll be great to meet up with you all at some point Smile

lmao

I missed that too /facepalm.

Peicea piss on that engine. If youve done headgaskets before, should take you all of 20 minutes. Thats not really exaggerating either lol.

come on guys that should of been obvious ......... 1.4 in the name + H/G failure can only be a 1.4 TU

RE: Hi All :) - pugjohn306 - 26-07-2013

Lol...welcome mate .

RE: Hi All :) - John1.4 - 26-07-2013

lol it didn't take long no, and i did have a spare engine in the boot to rob for some parts (turned out to be essential, the loom was chopped badly, but is nice and clean now Smile )

battery is now flat as a fart as well, so it's on charge at home while i'm at work, gonna get it back together at around 1ish

plans are :

ax gti head and cam / management - should free up some ponies, but staying 1.4 for now - tu5jp4 later maybe
421 exhaust mani (already got, just needs welding)
coilovers down probably about 40mm on the front, leave the rear as it is for now, may fit a lowered disc beam later on
also eyeing up the m45 in the spare room

Smile

lol forgot the brakes - gonna fit some 206gti calipers that i've got in a box somewhere, may also look at how easy it'd be to fit some abs
