Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Do the dt, what springs to get? 60mm will be too low for the shit Isle of Wight roads, but want lower than 40mm. 50mm would be perfect. Is there any way other than coilies? Or is it a case of buying like 1.6/1.8 40mm springs? As the xud is heavier it will drop more? But handle badly? Getting a head f*ck with it now so any opinions? RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Curt - 22-07-2013 Man up and go for 60 . Probably won't drop that much anyway depending on what you buy RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Haha fuuu man, some of the roads are killer even at standard height!! RE: Dropping 45/50mm - samass - 22-07-2013 Just go for 60 you massive pussy, you know you'll only want it lower anyway RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Haha I know I'll prob end up going 60mm but really don't want to tbh as the roads here are f*cking horrible RE: Dropping 45/50mm - samass - 22-07-2013 So, just go the "long" way runs, it'll still only take you a minute or so anyway, it's not like the islands very big. At any rate, you drive in hedges and on walls more than you do the road, sooo..... *shrugs* RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Curt - 22-07-2013 If you're going to be a fanny, just get some cheap coilies again. You know they're decent enough and then you can fine tune the height. Although, if I could drive the '5 around Surrey with those roads, you can drive a -60 DT on the island RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Curt come over and see for yourself, I get lost in the potholes! May be getting some technics again RE: Dropping 45/50mm - samass - 22-07-2013 Matt, you know that big round thing you sit in front of when you're in the car? if you turn that, the wheels turn, which makes the car turn, you can use this to *avoid* potholes... RE: Dropping 45/50mm - padge - 22-07-2013 get some 40mm springs and have them lowered to 50mm, theres a place near me that heats the springs up and compresses them. RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Yeah f*ck that! Sounds almost as bad as cut springs! RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Piggy - 22-07-2013 In my experience matt, a 300mm spring never drops 30mm, 40mm not quite 40etc...so just some 60mms...bet it would only drop 50mm PS http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Peugeot-306-2-0-XSi-S16-GTi6-GTi-50mm-Lowering-Springs-/350837933762?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51af9206c2 RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Curt - 22-07-2013 (22-07-2013, 04:15 PM)Piggy Wrote: a 300mm spring never drops 30mm I bet it doesn't . The rest is pretty much what I said... Matt, I've been there before... RE: Dropping 45/50mm - Matt - 22-07-2013 Haha oh yeah curt, I forgot Should come drive down the Newport/Yarmouth road.
