What temp. should my engine be running at? - D Turbo Lyle - 19-07-2013

hi there people, just wanted a few opinions here thanks.... I was just wandering what temperature the 1.9 d turbos should be running at... while driving mine normally without thrashing it or booting it up it sits at about 80 then after a bit of foot for a while it goes up to 90 sometimes. ( halfway mark ) not so sure what it should be any info would be much apretiated.. thanks lyle!lollol

Mine sits at 75, although turned turbo and fuel up last night and it sits at 80. While booting its 90

The norm temp is 83 iirc

sounds spot on.
sitting in traffic i occationsally shoot up above 90.
i tend to keep the engine between 80 and 90; manual fans help keep this temp ThumbsUp

Try to avoid going over 90*c. That's HG failure territory.

errm... not necessarily.
Sitting over 100/110 is probably more the likely for HG issues if that.

Sitting at 90/95/99 isnt THAT bad, by which point the fans should kick in.

RE: What temp. should my engine be running at? - Tom - 20-07-2013

All mine have sat at 80 mostly but when i boot it, it moves upto 90 and sits there til i ease off.

RE: What temp. should my engine be running at? - Jimbo - 20-07-2013

Pretty much as everyone is saying bout 80 until you give it some shit then sits about 90

RE: What temp. should my engine be running at? - Tom - 20-07-2013
