I have finally got round to stripping out the 6! can anyone tell me what these boxes are for do I need them?

RE: stripped - Grant - 16-07-2013

Central locking and interior lights. If you want to keep then then yes Smile

RE: stripped - Piggy - 16-07-2013

woh...didnt know stripping a 6 made it so light that i put it on its nose!

tbh, no idea! is there one either side, or just that side? could be C/L unit?!

RE: stripped - Niall - 16-07-2013

Central locking Smile

RE: stripped - Dum-Dum - 16-07-2013

They are to do with locking and alarm and a load of other things. You cant remove them without upsetting the car.

RE: stripped - Piggy - 16-07-2013

better off removing the seat belt and getting harnesses...those seatbelt mechanisms weigh as much as a large rabbit

RE: stripped - thomson - 16-07-2013

I am also looking into getting a roll cage and can't understand all the regulations (I.e. F.I.A, ONS) do these only apply if I am actually racing the car? I only want a good cage for track days?

RE: stripped - Piggy - 16-07-2013

Only need a FIA approved one if you are doing serious racing with regs.

But then would need FIA approved and up to date seats/harnesses/fire extinguishers

Whats with the pic?!

lol yeah pictures came out funny so not really interested in c/l an have no interior lights anyway. would it upset immobiliser? getting seats and harnesses soon don't want to put them in until its all painted.
