ETA 4pm - cwspellowe - 15-07-2013

..That's the time Sam reckons he'll get to my house on his way to the far north.

Now taking bets on just exactly how delayed he is lmao

RE: ETA 4pm - puglove - 15-07-2013

cool story bro !

RE: ETA 4pm - Poodle - 15-07-2013

Let's see, he's getting about 35mpg (of oil, that is), can carry about 10 gallons at a time before the law of diminishing returns really begins to take effect, will need to sell himself to be able to buy more... Next february?

RE: ETA 4pm - Scott - 15-07-2013

He'll call you at 3.40pm saying he's run out of oil!

RE: ETA 4pm - Matt - 15-07-2013

He will have to stop for oil at least 12 times on that run haha

RE: ETA 4pm - Dum-Dum - 15-07-2013

Apparently using a liter of oil every 100 miles. Macclesfield to pellowes is only 2-300 miles so 2 stops to top it up and itll be reet

RE: ETA 4pm - cwspellowe - 15-07-2013

I've a trade card waiting here for his arrival so he can refuel when he gets here. And by refuel, I mean top up everything other than the fuel.

RE: ETA 4pm - Dum-Dum - 15-07-2013

IIRC samass has trade card anyway

RE: ETA 4pm - cwspellowe - 15-07-2013

Ah of course, what self respecting GoNAD driver wouldn't have one?

RE: ETA 4pm - cwspellowe - 15-07-2013

Good news everyone! It only needed about 2l of oil to top up. Just FYI.

RE: ETA 4pm - Grant - 15-07-2013

That engine just doesnt want to die! Fair play sam, you have more bottle than me driving that thing so far!

RE: ETA 4pm - Ruan - 15-07-2013

I just love his response when asked about the trip:

"I hope it does break down, it'll be more comfortable in the cab of the AA truck, and I won't have to drive... And it's free fuel..."

Lad.

TBH that 2L of oil he got from me.. that was to replace what he put in about 50 miles before my house at the side of the road. Water temps were up at 100deg when he parked at mine, pretty sure he said that was post-rad too lmao

RE: ETA 4pm - ozonehostile - 15-07-2013

hahaha that thing is a hero. the little puffs of steam that come out of the bumper when it pulls up anywhere just add to the character

RE: ETA 4pm - samass - 15-07-2013

And just so you all know, I made it to Stonehaven too!

370 miles from pugfest, 30l of veg, about 8l of engine oil, oh and the exhaust fell of just past dunfermline, so jacking up the side of the car on the side of the motorway to pull the remaining bit off...

I suppose 70mph meetings with the cat's eyes on the motorway didn't do it any good...

RE: ETA 4pm - Grant - 15-07-2013

Lol hero.

So new engine time aye?

RE: ETA 4pm - Niall - 15-07-2013

Well fair play. I genuinely never thought it would make it under its own power!!

RE: ETA 4pm - samass - 15-07-2013

Nah, new hg, bit of silicone, new turbo, she'll be reet

RE: ETA 4pm - Grant - 15-07-2013

By new turbo, I trust you mean bigger, right?

Edit: Just seen your other post. Win!

RE: ETA 4pm - samass - 15-07-2013

Always go bigger grant!

RE: ETA 4pm - Grant - 15-07-2013

Stop mocking me!
