Mounting slim line fans? - Mitch - 09-07-2013 My d turbo has got a/c and the fans have a complete mind of there own, recently got a new valeo rad and sacked the original fans off, I've been running without a fan for a while now, I have a slimline 12" fan which I would like to use, I can wire it in with a relay and that but I'm unsure off how to mount it to the rad, if it was still my old rad I'd off prob of just stuck some cables ties through it and hoped for the best! But don't really fancy damaging the new one, any help appreciated RE: Mounting slim line fans? - cwspellowe - 09-07-2013 Cable ties are fine mate, don't worry about damaging the rad RE: Mounting slim line fans? - Mitch - 09-07-2013 (09-07-2013, 07:58 PM)cwspellowe Wrote: Cable ties are fine mate, don't worry about damaging the rad Okay cheers, would you go through the fins or the core itself? RE: Mounting slim line fans? - cwspellowe - 09-07-2013 Push it between the fins and it'll pop out the other side, then tie it up RE: Mounting slim line fans? - Frosty - 09-07-2013 I used some of these fitting kits for mine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170563680215?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_1144wt_1159 RE: Mounting slim line fans? - cwspellowe - 09-07-2013 Glorified cable ties RE: Mounting slim line fans? - Frosty - 09-07-2013 (09-07-2013, 08:14 PM)cwspellowe Wrote: Glorified cable ties Agree and cable ties are prob better TBH RE: Mounting slim line fans? - Mitch - 09-07-2013 I did see some of those on eBay, as said above they pretty much do the same job as cable ties :p cheers guys will get it on and wired up tomorrow, prepared for possible fcs traffic! |
