Does anyone have the dimensions of this hose please ?. It's a weird one because it goes from a large end then shrink's down into a small pipe.

The pipe connecting the plastic oil dipstick bit to the TMIC??

No mine occasionally lets out some oil vapour, which causes the odd buttock clenching moment as it looks just like smoke coming from under the bonnet.

but no it doesn't spray out of mine.

(my stat has been removed btw, the engine runs between 70 and 80 deg, I can't be assed to fix it)

no not the tmic mate it connects to the engine/rocker cover . . .Smile

RE: Oil breather hose - silverzx - 18-03-2014

Bump, anyone got any tips on how to access it for replacement without ripping half the engine apart?

RE: Oil breather hose - Curt - 18-03-2014

It's right at the top of the engine? Just pull the TMIC off.

RE: Oil breather hose - silverzx - 18-03-2014

No curt.. Just no.. Tongue

Tmic is off. The bastards behind the fuel filter housing!

RE: Oil breather hose - Curt - 18-03-2014

You're not trying hard enough then, it's a piece of piss. It's not behind the fuel filter housing, it connects to the dipstick/filler housing.

RE: Oil breather hose - silverzx - 18-03-2014

Guess I'll find out when I get to the car. Happy days if it's a piece of piss.

RE: Oil breather hose - padge - 18-03-2014

I find it easier to remove the end glowplug line, can be fiddly to get it onto the back of the oil filler housing
