Turbo change - An1mal06 - 03-07-2013 After trouble with my dtub revving its tits off and not knowing if its compensator seal or turbo seal ( is my dtub gonna run away thread) I'm changing pump and thinking of changing turbo to be sure but currently I have a gt15, can get hold of a t2 pretty easy but will it fit the gt15 mani oil lines ect or will I need a diff mani. Also will it be worth changing to the t2 or trying to find another gt15? RE: Turbo change - zx_volcane - 03-07-2013 Exhaust manifolds are different between gt15 and t2, poss oil lines too. Usually turbos come on exhaust mani, as the can be a pain to separate easily. T2 spools a bit later than the gt15 but holds boost further up the rev range RE: Turbo change - darrenjlobb - 03-07-2013 Id keep the GT15 tbh if its good, GT15 is a much newer turbo than the T series, its mainly in the head that the T2 has more top end, its more just the fact it dosnt have any bottom end that the top end feels so much better, I think overall as far as stock turbos go, the most fun / useable power can be had with a gt15. |
