No and you would have to be a utter fool to get shocked. If your working on the cars electrical system, just remove the negative terminal and tuck it away somewhere. RE: How a girl resets her check engine light - ginge191 - 02-07-2013 But no, i can't stand electrics, so slapping it like a sissy removes that nerve. You know, when you think the iron is too hot to put away, you give it a spank to check it? Yeh, this is the same. I'd be lying but i will tell you this anyway! You know, when you think the iron is too hot to put away, you give it a spank to check it? If you increase the RPM to get the output voltage yes... Lol when the car is running at 2000rpm though you're probably looking at an output of 16v. You know, when you think the iron is too hot to put away, you give it a spank to check it? the alternator has the ability to produce any voltage you want. its the internal voltage regulator which regulates the rotor current this is what limits its output voltage the alternator produces 3 phase AC which is then rectified down to dc and you can get electrocuted from 12v dc but most of us don't because are body resistance is high enough to limit the current to such an extent we cant feel it ever try-ed putting your tongue on a 9v PP3 i had a nasty burn from a car battery metal watch strap burned into my skin i dont where watches anymore! be safe guys don't mess with what you don't understand it has the potential to maim or kill RE: How a girl resets her check engine light - pugjohn306 - 05-07-2013 (03-07-2013, 08:05 PM)Puggie Wrote:(03-07-2013, 02:03 PM)pugjohn306 Wrote: Pop the hood...its a bonnet you dumb american and as for plires its an adjustable spanner....haha Iv no idea but aint a monkey wrench what plumbers use lol RE: How a girl resets her check engine light - Niall - 05-07-2013 (04-07-2013, 11:26 AM)cully Wrote:(04-07-2013, 09:52 AM)Rich306 Wrote:(02-07-2013, 04:50 PM)Niall Wrote:(02-07-2013, 04:46 PM)ginge191 Wrote: But no, i can't stand electrics, so slapping it like a sissy removes that nerve. You know, when you think the iron is too hot to put away, you give it a spank to check it? This. If your alternator puts out a higher voltage at higher rpms, bin it before it kills everything in the car lol RE: How a girl resets her check engine light - PugMe - 05-07-2013 That made me lol.
