Removing roof bars - tomcannon - 13-02-2012 Hi Guys, I am hoping to re-spray my tow hitch and roof bars on the estate as they are currently a lovely rust brown colour! Anyway, I am just going to mask around the tow hitch and the back of the car to spray the tow on the car but I feel this method may be too difficult when it comes to the roof bars and it may just be easier to remove the bars from the car first? What do you think and how do they come off?! Cheers, Tom. Re: Removing roof bars - 4WayDiablo - 13-02-2012 Easy getting the roof rails off. Its 3 large t40 i think torx on each side. One either end and one in the middle. Plasic caps cover them Really does look a hell of a lot better And yeah id do the towbar in situe unless you gotbone which has like 2 bolts to remove Re: Removing roof bars - tomcannon - 14-02-2012 Cheers pal. I should hopefully get around to this sometime this week then Re: Removing roof bars - 4WayDiablo - 14-02-2012 No problem. It really makes an awesome difference |
