Adjusting the height of the torsion bar - Edy - 19-06-2013 I've read that there is two ways of lowering the rear 1 the "proper way" 2 the "notch way" I want to higher the rear of the 306 and am wondering if the car has been lowered a particular way then do I have to higher it using the same method? RE: Adjusting the height of the torsion bar - darrenjlobb - 19-06-2013 Makes no odds, these methods you talk of just refer to if it was lowered at one end of the TB or the other end, (IE taken right out, or just pulled from one end), try getting them out, if they wont then get one end out, and see if the next slot up is a suitable height, if so, job sorted ![]() http://www.darrenjlobb.co.uk/home/306-lowering RE: Adjusting the height of the torsion bar - Edy - 19-06-2013 Right thanks for the reply Might tackle it in Saturday. Am I right in say to do it the "correct way" u'd need a sliding hammer? Are they expensive to buy? RE: Adjusting the height of the torsion bar - Stephen - 27-06-2013 You don't need a slide hammer, but would help If you read Darren's guide which he has linked too it gives you methods of doing it with or without a slide hammer. RE: Adjusting the height of the torsion bar - puglove - 27-06-2013 As darren says it doesnt really matter what way you do it and IMO you are better off pressing it out with a socket and high tensile bolt . Slide hammers are rubish in my experience |
