Matt and foxy-jim - Welshy_Pete - 12-02-2012 Hi Matt and foxy-jim the grill on your 306 what model that from? Also the bonnet whats that one from with out the badge? Its just Ive not seen those before. thanks Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Midnightclub - 12-02-2012 You can't get them, you have to smooth them yourself Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Welshy_Pete - 12-02-2012 Midnightclub Wrote:You can't get them, you have to smooth them yourself Ok then cool. Do any other grills or bonnets fit the ph3 hdi? thanks Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Pompey306mark - 12-02-2012 You can buy the smoothed grills that would made that way, but they are rare. But the bonnets you just need to remove the badge, and then get it welded up and smoothed over. Re: Matt and foxy-jim - 4WayDiablo - 12-02-2012 Yeah as mark said just watch out on ebay. There was a guy selling a smooyhed ph3 bonnet and grill. I just couldnt afford it at the time :-( Re: Matt and foxy-jim - kingy - 12-02-2012 what do you want to change them for. everyone puts th ph3 on the ph2. not many do it the other way round. keep the ph3 and smooth it off pal. foxy jim has one off fleabay and it dont fit right. Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Foxy-jim - 12-02-2012 I got my grill from a company online, but as kingy sad it doesn't fit perfectly, do get the one you have on there smoothed and sprayed! Same with the bonnet! Matt and foxy-jim - Matt - 12-02-2012 My bonnet was done using a sheet of metal from a fridge....... Riveted in and filled over lol. Smooth grill was done by cutting the badge recess out and the plastic welded another section of plastic in, the filled and sanded. I have a spare grill which is better made and will be using. So this one will be spare, has a bump where too much filler is but I don't have the patience for the sanding lol. Re: Matt and foxy-jim - kingy - 12-02-2012 my grill was just filled with what looks like p40. weighs a ton. Matt and foxy-jim - Matt - 12-02-2012 Filling with p40 is fail. As said will weigh a tonne, please don't do it this way, surely the front end weighs enough as it is? Re: Matt and foxy-jim - kingy - 12-02-2012 i brought it like it. front grill and bonnet for £40. had all dents taken out and re sprayed. but yeah, wrong way to do it. EDIT.....im not that really bothered about the tbf, its only a 1.6 anyway. Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Dum-Dum - 12-02-2012 There is a company that makes smoothed grilles but IIRC theyer the best part of £100 Re: Matt and foxy-jim - 4WayDiablo - 12-02-2012 Ecosse make fibreglass ones iirc Also i smoothed my ph1 grill with modelling clay and p38 lmfao it worked though untill i dropped it Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Welshy_Pete - 12-02-2012 My bonnet seems to to stick up abit. Its on both sides so not sure whats wrong if the bonnet no good. Matt and foxy-jim - Matt - 12-02-2012 Cleaned. Keep on topic Re: Matt and foxy-jim - Foxy-jim - 12-02-2012 Welshy_Pete Wrote:My bonnet seems to to stick up abit. Its on both sides so not sure whats wrong if the bonnet no good. Has someone before you put bonnet raisers on it? Does the bonnet look creased?
