Dents - Toast - 13-06-2013 Just wondering if anyones got any recommendations for the most effective way to pull dents from a bonnet. The past owners of mine thought it would make a good seating area and left it in a sorry state. Any ideas? RE: Dents - Matt - 13-06-2013 best to get a better condition bonnet from the breakers, most dent removal places will change you a small fortune Dents - ben87 - 13-06-2013 Could always attempt to hammer them out yourself from underneath with some wood and a rubber mallet? RE: Dents - Piggy - 13-06-2013 Im working on PDR... got a kit and starting some work on my wifes car to get wicked with the kit... post a pic to show it... RE: Dents - Niall - 13-06-2013 Ignore Matt. If they are only small dents, get something cylindrical (like a can of paint) and roll it on over the dent on the inside of the bonnet. deals with most small dents providing the panel hasnt creased. This is also assuming its a dent where the bonnet is single skin. Re: Dents - Toast - 13-06-2013 Cheers guys the dents aren't major but visible. I have thought about replacing it but worried about the fade on the paint to make it look out of place. Got some work to do on it tommrow to get it past its mot will see if its possible to hammer out tommrow. RE: Dents - Matt - 14-06-2013 I'm just thinking they where major lol RE: Dents - toughmat - 16-06-2013 I also got dents on my front doors, wondering to replace or try and push them out myself RE: Dents - Just Sean - 16-06-2013 Get a dent puller.
