Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Tom85 - 12-06-2013 Hi all I've got HDI turbo with a rather worn lower engine mount - just wondering if anyone has fitted the red diesel version powerflex engine mount http://www.powerflex.co.uk/road-series/product-details/Lower+Rear+Engine+Mount+Bush+-+Diesel+Engine/2030.html What's it like vibration wise? Much different to standard? I've heard the yellow petrol powerflex is rather bad for vibrations! Thanks :-) RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Dum-Dum - 13-06-2013 hows it different to a yellow one (aside the colour) RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Tom85 - 13-06-2013 It's a softer compound apparently designed for diesels - supposed to reduce vibrations compared to their normal yellow one for petrols RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Piggy - 13-06-2013 yeah I putting a red one in mine... friend has a yellow one on her xud and its deafening inside at idle Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Parksy87 - 13-06-2013 Got the red one on mine and its fine, nothing noticable on idle, mines on a xud which is no where near as smooth running as a hdi, go for it ![]() RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Dum-Dum - 13-06-2013 (13-06-2013, 02:45 PM)Parksy87 Wrote: Got the red one on mine and its fine, nothing noticable on idle, mines on a xud which is no where near as smooth running as a hdi, go for it Might have to get me one of these then ![]() RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Niall - 13-06-2013 Obviously mines the yellow petrol one...because i drive a petrol....but i highly recommend them! Barely any increase in vibration and gear changes are much much smoother. Best of both worlds imo! RE: Anyone running a red Powerflex Lower Engine Mount - Tom85 - 13-06-2013 Thanks guys. I've got one and going to fit it at the weekend, it's got to be better than my current one which is very worn! Will report how it goes. |
