Volvo diagnostics help - Slam Wagon - 24-05-2013

Hey, my friends parents have an R reg volvo v70. Theyve got ABS and traction control lights on and its due MOT but everyone theyve tried locally says they cant clear the faults as it too old.

Any ideas on what we need to clear it?

Thanks

Ian

Does the Speedo play up aswell? Try getting an elm327 Bluetooth obd2 reader and connect it to torque, I used that to read the codes on mine, a T reg. Ended up having to get the abs module refurbed.

Is there a better one to go for, some are very cheap on ebay, rather buy a better one if there is. Also torque, thats an app yeah?

I just went for a mid priced one, seems to have worked fine for me. Yeah torque is an android app, dunno if its on iPhone or not yet tho.

If you do need it refurbed, I rate Volvo Gear pretty highly, there based in Kent so obv would need to post it, but fair prices and quality work, also easy enough to get hold of and chat to if needs be.

Awesome i take it the same conector will work on any obd2 port. Like my 306 for example

My blutooth reader works on the HDi but doesn't work on the '6.. depends how OBD2 compliant the vehicles are
