Jack it up and see if there is any play up and down in the wheel..

By up and down do you mean hold top and bottom and shake to feel for play?

Yea try pushing the top while pulling the bottom and vice versa if you feel play then get em changed

you may find as well that the hub may become f*cked. thats whats happened to mine and it sounds and feels terrible at the moment

I get a knocking but no play in the wheel when tested as above. Seems to knock at lower speeds more so. I've already changed the drop links.
