Project Village Bike - Sambarker - 14-05-2013

Ok quick thread to keep people in the loop.

Bought (that's right not brought) the car from Anton who got it off joe and apparently there were at least one or two previous forum members before him so its been round a bit.

Intention is for it to replace the 309 as parts are getting hard to source and are expensive, plus live for the 306 bla bla

It's getting morettes, completely ph1'ing inside and out, mainly back to standard. Then getting hooned abused etc possibly with a nurburgring trip thrown in for good measure

RE: Project Village Bike - kernow_joe - 14-05-2013

Big Grin it lives on, what was up with the engine? was it still a dhy block in there?

fyi I bought this from a .net member who owned it a few years unsure about before him

RE: Project Village Bike - Anton - 14-05-2013

The crank pulley had snapped off.

RE: Project Village Bike - Dum-Dum - 14-05-2013

Project Village Bike - Sambarker - 14-05-2013

Project Village Bike - Sambarker - 14-05-2013

Sam-barker on eBay

Cage might be sold to maxtait

Buckets harnesses going in 306
Engine and front mount aswell

Got a dt box with modified gear arm for 205/309 along with modified driveshafts.

Pair of 16mm 306 hubs I was going to fit

206 coilovers on 205 gti hubs

205 uprated shocks with lowering springs

205 gti subframe and roll bar

309 gti wishbones are on eBay

Got a straight through exhaust but bit of a mash up of various pipe but would fit 205 as front pipe is 205

Where abouts you from dan?

Project Village Bike - td_dan - 14-05-2013

Arrr im watching that cage at the minute lol

The dt box what diff is it running as im using the standard stdt shafts which are the same a the 1.6 gti ones

Project Village Bike - Sambarker - 14-05-2013

Box has a 306 diff. O/s shaft is a 1.9 n/a 309 shaft and n/s is a 309 gti shaft with a 306 hdi inner cv. Obviously I couldn't use 205 shafts due to them not being long enough

Project Village Bike - td_dan - 14-05-2013

Ok mate, in assuming with the modified arm were able to use the standard clutch cable then? How much for the box?

Project Village Bike - Sambarker - 14-05-2013

It's the arm for the gear selectors that's been modified. The clutch cable is a 205 one and almost new which you can have too.

If your wanting the box and shafts ill do you a swap with some ph1 bits if you like?

Project Village Bike - td_dan - 14-05-2013

Only need the box and yeah that sounds good to me mate just let me know you need
