Estate backbox - MartinL - 12-05-2013

Hey guys Big Grin first post so go easyyy.

I have a 306 estate, 2.0 hdi obviously. I'm looking at de back boxing it and getting hold of another centre pipe. just wondering it the centre pipe has to be an estate or will a hatchback one fit too?

RE: Estate backbox - Hdiestate - 12-05-2013

No matr the center boxes are the same just the back boxes are differnt.
Theres a quide on how to fit on the quide section.

Are you going to decat it at the same time? When i done both there
Was a nice inprovment.

Cheers for that Big Grin was just worried if they were different.
Moneys tight at the moment so im going to see if i can fabricate my own decat tomorrow out of old pieces of exhaust Confused

RE: Estate backbox - Hdiestate - 12-05-2013

Ye thats wat i did mate. Then sell cat can i got £33 for mine.
And the midle box i used for the back box was only £18 (trade) so
I got a bit of mony any a bot more pull.

RE: Estate backbox - MartinL - 12-05-2013

Ive read somewhere that if its an original cat the you can get upto £200? because of the platinum in it. Hopefully mine will be an original lol
Did you make your own decat or did you buy it? dont really know where to start with it, seen a few people struggling with the position it sits on the subframe

RE: Estate backbox - Hdiestate - 12-05-2013

Ye thats true. Mine was a small crappy 1.

I had a bit of pipe the right size at work. Just cut the cat out
And a mate welded the pipe in. No problems. Ive got a pic bit cnt
Upload cus im on my old iphone.
