Pads and Discs for vts brakes - Bananalad - 27-04-2013 Im buying a set of 283 xsara vts callipers, anyone any recommendations of what pads and discs to go for? Looking at drilled and grooved ones i hear there not great on a road car more so going for the look but are they bad? budget around 80 pound RE: Pads and Discs for vts brakes - C.A.R. - 27-04-2013 Car parts for less. Xsara VTS = GTi6, so 22 x 283mm vented discs. I just ordered a Pagid setup (discs & pads) and I think it came to just over £50. Avoid the vented/grooved ones, it's purely for looking fancy and on a road car they offer virtually no advantage with the added disadvantage of higher amounts of brake dust and more noise under braking.... RE: Pads and Discs for vts brakes - Bananalad - 28-04-2013 Hmm I see, I knew there was no advantages on a road car didn't know the disadvantages though! |
