stretched tyres pressures - rd070707 - 25-04-2013 Alright guys I have 185 45 15 tyres fitted to my 8j wheels and 195s on the rear. What psi should I have in them? I had thought my wheel bearing was knackered because I had a loud rumble but I've had it replaced and its still there. So I whipped those wheels off and stuck the lasers on and the noise was all but gone. maybe the pressures are wrong or the wheel aren't balanced right? RE: stretched tyres pressures - Slam Wagon - 25-04-2013 Atleast the recomended pressure, i run a couple if psi over. Make sure to check the regularly. Get the wheels balanced up and try them again. RE: stretched tyres pressures - moonstoneblue - 26-04-2013 stretched tyre pressure that any one i know runs them at 35psi there is a rumble as ur running on the sides of the sideways as well if im correct not just the normal face of the tyre hope this helps RE: stretched tyres pressures - Slam Wagon - 26-04-2013 Shouldnt be running on the sidewall, something is wrong if you are. Im running 40 in mine. Not had a problem so far, exactly the same sizes too. RE: stretched tyres pressures - rd070707 - 26-04-2013 i dropped the pressures to 40psi as they were over 50 lol. definately has reduced the noise, and I will get the, rebalanced as well RE: stretched tyres pressures - Slam Wagon - 26-04-2013 40 is plenty. Its best to keep them at tge reccomended pressure for the car but make sure they stay there. I put 40 in just do i dont have to check it so often. |
