im ordering parts from peugeot for it already and ive not got the car home yet!

1327.34 O/s rad top clip £3.67
1327.40 N/s rad top clip £4.42
0349.G1 inlet manafold gasket £4.01
1635.C3 inlet butterfly gasket £1.72

didnt realise pug parts were so cheap from the stealers

Why the hell are the n/s and o/s rad clips different prices lol! These are the ones that bolt into the slam panel and hold the rad/condenser in place?

Also I didn't think you could buy the throttle body gaskets individually anymore. Bonus.

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 08-05-2013

yes they are the rad clips

had the phone call to say the cars ready for collection from stockland .
Mot is booked for 12o'clock tomorrow so collecting my m8 @ 9am to collect the car as he has garage insurance to drive anything

getting exited now may be driving it tomorrow

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 08-05-2013

i might have found an inlet manifold under my pillow last night

it would be roude not to get it looking nice before its fitted Smile

tapped out the resinator hole to 1"bsp

pressure washed the manifold off washing out all the swarf before
fitting a 1" bsp plug sealed it with hydrolic threadlock

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 08-05-2013

fingers crossed if it passes its MOT tomorrow and i get the insurance in time Wink

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 09-05-2013

well ive had a little setback!

collected the car from having the beam done then we dropped it off for the mot at the second station
we had done all the work on the last fail sheet less than Cat but that wasnt going to be a problem Wink

had a phone call from the mot place saying the car had failed!

what!

looks like the first MOT station has stopped the test once he had a few fails not giving me a complete list to work from!

im fealing a little done over at the moment

the new list
is front ball joints and a wheel bearing and a few other bits

so the car wont be ready for sunday
im just hopeing i can sort something within the 10 days free retest period
hopeing its not an issue with the hubs being ovaled!

i also need a GTI6 radiator rocker can you help there?

What a lady garden!

Re: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - rocker8742 - 09-05-2013

That's a shitter mate, I do have a spare rad with the bottom hose incase its different, offered it to Matt but he doesn't seem too interested lol

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - Connor - 09-05-2013

I have a spare o/s hub if it is ovaled, I would also go back to the first place and ask them what the f*ck they were playing at...

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - Niall - 09-05-2013

This ^^

I would also be asking for a partial refund seeing as they did a partial test without telling you.

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - Connor - 09-05-2013

Or take it back for mot there... You replaced everything they failed it on...

Re: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - rocker8742 - 09-05-2013

£216 if you want the rad from the stealers lol

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 09-05-2013

connor i will have that hub off you please
is it the hub from Dum-dum tonight ?

rocker yes im interested in the rad and i have priced up a new Wink

the reason the guy might have missed the front is the test was done on an autotest bed and as the rear beam was so shot computer missed the fronts

and i couldnt go back for the retest!

note it didnt fail on the emmisions Wink

This is due to most accidents occuring to the front passenger side of the car, hence they charge more to make more money, simple economics Wink

Thats a pure shitter about the mot.
Did you not feel play in driving though? i know i did when my hubs were ovalled out!

to be honest i have only driven it back from when i bought it with the fecked beam
that was lively enough at the rear

each time since it has been driven by someone else under garage insurance as i am not yet covered to drive the car Sad

Yep I am, did you see my thread response?

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - devils_fuel - 10-05-2013

paul thats a ******!!!!

I would contact the garage owner and advised them unless you receive a partial refund on the test you will report the MOT tester/company to the DVLA for only completing a partial test but charging you for the complete test which is illegal as they have charged you for a service but have not provided the service under the contract - from memory they should complete the test regardless if it fails within 5 mins as that is the contract you agree to - my tester always completes any MOT even if the car fails

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - Poodle - 10-05-2013

As above, first garage f*cked up, make them pay for it.

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 10-05-2013

i didnt present the car my m8 did in his garages name its his issue
i think the mot station will be loosing a lot of buisness for his mistake!

and on a side note!
this GTI6 has 16mm balljoints with abs!

things are still moving on

RE: Cully's Bianca 6 R150 YVM - cully - 10-05-2013

todays exploits started at 8am
loaded the car with tools enought to strip a 306 went to a local metal dealer that has a Ph1 and Ph3 sat up for spares
scrappy didnt open till 830 Sad wanted an early start.
any way the Ph3 has everything i need but the guy wouldnt let me touch it cause its in a field and the evirement agency dont like him breaking away from his yard.
it had 18mm hubs and wishbones confirmed this by measuring the ball joint.
he wouldnt move this car so ive given him my phone number when he does and im in there!

so back to my m8s garage to the bianca nothing on the ramp so got the car on to check out the ball joints/hubs for ovals
16mm hubs and joints and the play is in the joint only........
so on the phone
2x 16mm balljoints
2x front brake hose
1x front wheel bearing

ordered!

in the mean time i went through the rest of the list
o/s side repeater to dark with a coating (swapped for the estate)
n/s side repeater to dark with a coating (swapped for the estate)
o/s indicator showing white not orange (new orange lamp)
rear numberplate lamp (cleaned terminals)

then my m8 asked why i wernt stripping the front end down
so by 1pm when i left for work i had
replaced both ball joints removed the O/s hub
reasembled the N/s

things left were
press in the bearing refit hub
remove fit 2x brake hoses

as of 6pm the car was done thanks to friends who i owe a beer or two
unfortunatly the MOT station was closed so no retest

the story continues.....................................
