8k. Goes into the red at 6.5 or 7k dependant on the engine.

My HDI shows up to 6k.

that explains it then my car has got dials of a hdi fitted to a petrol does this matter

I don't think it does. It should still read right.

correct if its idling at 1000rpm, it will still show 1000 on both dials but on the derv ones, it will just run off the clock

so hdi plasmas will defo fit then
