Damn snow! - Toms306 - 05-02-2012

Hmm, could've REALLY done without it today.....

About 3" in the road between tyre tracks, no grit on our road.........and coming home last night there wasn't even any grit on the main B road!

Must admit though, the golf was good in it last night, I left the ASR on and it only cut in trying to get on my drive (bumping over a high kerb onto an uphill sloping drive in snow FTL lol). It got me straight up though, where as the 306 just span in that same situation last year.

Heres a few snowy pics.....you can add yours too....

Thanks to the snow I'll be missing out on work today if I can't get out so I'll be losing £30.....guess I better not drive anywhere at all next week then. Sad

Re: Damn snow! - Dum-Dum - 05-02-2012

Had just under 2 inches here i reckon.

The cabby has been amazing even though it was ploughing the snow with its front bumper in places, climbed a massive snowy hill in high wycombe even though it was probably 1 in 3.

Had a great laugh coming back on the motorway at 3 different peolpe in expensive nearly new 4x4s whod all managed to crash into the central reservation and/or the banking up the side and were sitting on the hard shoulder missing wheels and bodywork.

Only issue i had was snow getting stuck inside of my wheels and making them feel massively out of ballance.

Re: Damn snow! - Foxy-jim - 05-02-2012

My banded steels would be well heavy if the dish filled up with a load of snow!

Got a face full myself through the open window/roof in the beamer this morning - NOT impressed!

Re: Damn snow! - procta - 06-02-2012

tom what you should have done is found a nice empty car park and went for it with the handbrake.
