Hey ho - Megamonkey - 06-12-2011 Right hello everyone! I don't own a 306 at the moment as I crashed the last one *sigh*. Might be getting one again depending on my circumstances, or I might go for something different but with our favourite veg eating XUD! Wait and see. As for my history with peugeots (the only car I ever owned) 1st - N-Reg 1.9 N/A Diesel (Cherry Red) - Gearbox went after a month of having it coming back from Glastonbury! Sold it for only £100 less than I bought it. 2nd - M-Reg 1.9 N/A Diesel (Cherry Red) - Bought at 190,000 miles, whacked a bosch pump on and ran it on veg (roughly 25,000 miles on veg) ... had it for almost 2 years, got me through a year at Dominos Well that decieded (after getting past 222,222) that the engine didn't want to stay in the engine bay, and 3 of the four bolts holding the engine mount on sheard and it rotated so the pump cam was resting on it. Suprisinly it still ran, the pump cam just ate up the mounting! Haha. Unfortunately I left it in a Halfords car park overnight to get picked up in the morning and someone smashed the back window in so I deceided it wasn't worth fixing so was scrapped! 3rd - N-Reg 1.9 SLDT (Diablo Red) - Bought for very cheap as it had been sat for a while and this is how it stood at the end Chav Tastic Wheels Well there were many things wrong with it, Laqueer peel, someone had keyed it before I got it, front suspension ended up being shagged, those wheels were far too big! Lasted me a year almost, but someone (on the forum that shall not be named) was selling another Sedan in better nick so decieded to get that one. There was a couple of things wrong with it, but the bits that actually worked on mine could be moved across. 4th Car - M-Reg 1.9 TD Sedan (Back to Cherry red!) Two Sedans Side by side, Rare sight! Cherry Red Sedan Well I had it all of 6 days and then unfortunately got caught out by an over catious person at a roundabout Damage I did The Sedan, Well it damaged part of the Chassis unfortunately and so I ended up breaking it for parts (some of which I still have, for sale thread coming soon!) and scrapping the shell. Unfortunately I was a week off getting 3 years no claims! Grr That was about 2 months ago, and the claim has only just been settled (£4,000+!!!) *sigh* So thats me and my history, looking for a new car soon ish but might just wait until end of January when I'm 25 and hopefully insurance will be cheaper! Sorry that was longer than I expected it to be haha! Re: Hey ho - Matt - 06-12-2011 Welcome along mate. Sedan looks like it took a beating Re: Hey ho - Megamonkey - 06-12-2011 Aye the Sedan took a good old beating , I've said it before I prefered having a crash now at low speed where no-one got hurt (execpt my wallet) than the time I had a kid run after a ball infront of me or on the Motorway when some stupid woman was texting in a pink Corsa ... Grrr! Some more - Anyways I'm on the look out for a new Sedan or maybe a Suzuki Vitara / Lada Niva with XUD engines, so if anyone sees one give us a shout!!! Re: Hey ho - Poodle - 06-12-2011 Welcome, didn't know you'd cased the new one. Bad times, been there myself. Lada Niva ftmfw!! Re: Hey ho - Dum-Dum - 06-12-2011 Welcome along mate. whats your real name out of interest? Re: Hey ho - Kaeten M - 10-12-2011 Welcome mate |
