rear beam bushes - smokey - 08-04-2013

my o/s rear scrapes immensly round left hand bends i gather its the bushes but not sure wich ones im looking to get any ideas

If its rubbing it mostly likely the axle bearing has given up.

Pack it on level ground and see if the wheels looks straight or its leaning in at the top

There is alot of camber on the back in running on steelies atm and there is maybe 6mm before the bumpstop for the beam

as above if the wheel has alot of negative camber the rear beam is fecked. bump stop has nothinh to do with it.

Second hand, aye, but you might only get 12 months out of it. Better plumping for a refurbed unit and getting another 10 years out of it..

Rebuild it yourself, pretty straight forward on the 306, cost about £150 and you will have basically a new axle

you can do it cheaper than that . you can buy the bearings from a refurb company for £45.

That includes bearings and inner stubs and all the other seals, washers and screws for both sides,

uh no! they were at FCS last year so if you can find a list of traders thar were at fcs you should be able to get a number for them
