Performance of b8's without eibachs? - Ben - 07-04-2013 Struggling to decide on what suspension setup I want. I'm trying to persuade myself to get b8's because I think they'd be the best to drive with, however I'm being slightly put off by the lack of spring choice to go with them. It seems the only good ones are eibachs and they only offer a 30mm drop, meaning my car would look like a gti dropped 10mm, which would be sky high ![]() Would it be worth getting the b8's if I were to get springs such as 60mm apex ones, or would cheap springs make the b8's pointless? RE: Performance of b8's without eibachs? - Dale - 07-04-2013 Have a look at the Faulkner springs they have done afew sets for the 106's and 205's slightly more track day focused but you can choose the spring rates and drops of 35-45! Cheap apex spring on b8's in my eyes are pointless but that's just my opinion RE: Performance of b8's without eibachs? - Niall - 07-04-2013 Eibach springs with B8s drop the car about 40mm and handle epicly! Thats mine on b8s with eibachs but bare in mind the diameter of them wheels and tyres is actually smaller than standard clones....badly need to get the proper size tyres on! lol RE: Performance of b8's without eibachs? - Ben - 07-04-2013 Thanks for the replies. I'd seen yours in your project thread Niall, and although its not quite as low as I'd like I think I could live with it for the better ride. I don't think mine would be as low as yours though because its a dt, which are around 20mm higher as standard, so it'd look 20mm higher than yours? I've got 205 45 16 tyres so they are a good size. |
