identify a part failure - Piggy - 05-04-2013 maybe helpful to some... this is a failed drop link: causing 'characterful' handling issues Maybe pellowe can add how to ID a failed turbo? and maybe matt with a failed rod/block? :p RE: identify a part failure - gareth7 - 06-04-2013 'characterful handling issues' lol one fecked engine caused by a glow plug tip snapping off at 60mph.......... RE: identify a part failure - Poodle - 14-04-2013 This is a broken towing eye, usually a result of a failtow: This is not a part failure as such, but an example of incorrect fitment. Notice the lack of access to the pedals: RE: identify a part failure - Toms306 - 15-04-2013 Not a 306 but could happen to any car - This spring. Its f*cked. Causes snapping noise, followed by knocking noise, followed by rubbing noise and plumes of tyre smoke... RE: identify a part failure - Oil-burner - 15-04-2013 Its a good job you got a reliable car tom! This is a clogged EGR valve - This is a boost leak, with carb cleaner down there to find the leak... This is a MAP sensor full of EGR shit - This is....most definitely still f*cked! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umYosXIvrzU&feature=youtu.be I could go on.... Moral of the story, if you want reliability, don't buy a Peugeot, or a VW, or a Vauxhall, or any car ever tbh, they're all shit. Oh and definitely don't buy a car that I've been near!! RE: identify a part failure - cully - 15-04-2013 or dont buy a car tom has owned or considered owning! RE: identify a part failure - Dave - 15-04-2013 one f*cked conrod one f*cked piston one f*cked bore RE: identify a part failure - Piggy - 15-04-2013 this is good boys... still missing a blow turbo from pellowe and perhaps a transparent block from Matt? RE: identify a part failure - cwspellowe - 15-04-2013 Problem: No boost Problem part: Probable cause: Being a spaz and not using Garrett spec clamping bolts to hold the compressor housing on Known fix (tested): Replace it Problem: No boost, lots and lots of smoke Problem part: Turbine having a lie down in the middle of the motorway, compressor wanted to stay in the turbo. They split amicably. Go home compressor, you're drunk. Oil prefers to be in cloud form and not in engine. Probable cause: Too much boost, tested to destruction Known fix (tested): Replace it. Problem: RAC won't tow Problem part: Brain Possible cause: Forgets to tax car, RAC refuse to tow, left stuck at side of motorway in the middle of the night with no tax and therefore no insurance. Known fix: Phone brother in law for a tow. Remove FMIC to gain access to tow hook that was bent out of the way because it looked ugly. Use mouldy dodgy bit of rope to haul ass out of the Police line of sight. Tax car and replace turbo. Lol forever. RE: identify a part failure - Piggy - 15-04-2013 epic! RE: identify a part failure - ozonehostile - 18-04-2013 another one for the broken turbo gallery RE: identify a part failure - cully - 25-04-2013 cheap aftermarket wheel failure from trying to hard! Piston detonation caused by poor mapping crank breakage cause by weakening after regrinding the radius's off the journals RE: identify a part failure - ozonehostile - 26-04-2013 More broken turbos: snapped shaft caused by turning engine off when turbo was still glowing red hot RE: identify a part failure - Poodle - 28-04-2013 This tyre is worn below the legal limit: RE: identify a part failure - Jonny81191 - 28-04-2013 This rocker is a bit broken. Re: identify a part failure - MartinL - 14-05-2013 This i s a f*cked release bearing; RE: identify a part failure - Jenkosowls - 22-05-2013 This is a f*cked bodged clutch because your a cheap arse so decide weld the center up and run high torque through it thinking "itl be reet" Fixing solution Buy a new clutch Re: identify a part failure - MartinL - 22-05-2013 Beat bodge job ive ever seen!
