clay bar - W1ll - 02-04-2013 Hi The paintwork on my car is terrible! I have polish and then some dodo juice purple haze wax.. any suggestions on a clay bar I can use? Also anyone got any tips on deep polishing etc, processes?? RE: clay bar - Piggy - 02-04-2013 real genuine clay bar is massive expensive... this is a good alternative http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=230946257419 RE: clay bar - Niall - 02-04-2013 Liquid claybar is a waste of time and energy. You can pick up the dodo claybar, 2 bars for about £10 RE: clay bar - W1ll - 02-04-2013 what are the differences? pros/cons? RE: clay bar - Puggie - 02-04-2013 Best clay bar i have used well worth the price tag. http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-59420-bilt-hamber-auto-clay-regular.aspx RE: clay bar - Just Sean - 02-04-2013 another vote for the bilt hamber. Only need water as lube too... So easy to work with clay bar - Jake - 02-04-2013 Yep I use the bilt one too,, cheap way for awesome results! Just recently clayed polished and had two coats of dodo juice blue velvet on mine, super smooth. RE: clay bar - W1ll - 02-04-2013 sounds pretty good then.. how long does the finish last? roughly..? Any tips on using them? (never used before) RE: clay bar - Piggy - 02-04-2013 that looks like a frappin good price!!!! ignore my link! Smells great, looks great and lasts for ever. I last waxed mine with one coat in july and if i clean the dirt off, it still beads a bit! RE: clay bar - W1ll - 02-04-2013 i have the purple haze, assuming theyre similar things?! clay bar - Jake - 02-04-2013 (02-04-2013, 07:40 PM)W1ll Wrote: Any tips on using them? (never used before) Fold the clay over Itself lots. Or you will just put loads of little scratches everywhere. Keep well lubricated with water, clay lube, or quick detailer. And if you don't plan to polish it afterwards I'd wipe down each panel after claying to stop those annoying water marks.
