Rubber bung thing that holds CD player up in dash - HDIkyle - 01-02-2012

I got a new CD player today Kenwood BT61U but it does not come with one of them rubber bits that holds it up in the back of the dash. Where can i get one of these from off the shelf anyone know? I am going to ring my local audio shop up soon but any ideas incase they don't keep them

I've got that HU. It's bloody brilliant!

Anyway, you shouldn't really need one. I haven't got one on mine and it's absolutely fine. As long as the cage is fixed in you'll be alright

Lol i know but i just like it there to help as my dash facia in crack on the bottom half so it wont screw into the dashboard so wont give the best support

What are they like to use? I have had Sony and Alpine before but this is the best i could find that offered Direct Ipod and Bluetooth with 4V preouts Smile

There great to use. Really versatile for the cost (similar versatility to a 300+ alpine or similar). You've got a lot of settings to play with as well so you can get the sound you want spot on unlike the older kenwoods

Depending on what phone you have, my Galaxy S2 wouldnt

I had an alpine before and it was pretty good but i could not afford or justify even spending that amount on one again. IIRC i paid nearly £250 back in 2009 and that was without BT ect

I paid £240 for mine in 2008!

Had my Sony CDX-GT200 since 2006/07ish

Got it free from work (car breakers)

Still going strong after 4 or 5 years! Will be replaced when it breaks or when its unusable due to it being hideously obsolete!!
