Might sound silly but flat battery?!

Cold kills batteries...

RE: Broken hdi... - Scott - 26-03-2013

I'd go with a flat battery mate, when was the last time it was started? Was it taken for a drive or just left idling when it was last run?

Tell him to test the battery? Before you buy one... or get someone who knows something about cars to do it lol

RE: Broken hdi... - Just Sean - 27-03-2013

it needs a new one. I remebered it died last time it snowed. Its only a matter of time before it does it agian. Once they die theyrepretty much f*cked anyway!

Best battery to get for a hdi? Bosche one from halfrauds?

Broken hdi... - Alee83 - 27-03-2013

I would go with the Bosch one with cold start...! Wink

Awesome battery! Cheaper then ECP but I think the ebay seller might be EPC as the packaging was all stickered up as ECP.

When looking for a new battery look at the CCA (cold cranking amps) the higher the better.

I always use get Bosch but seen the above and they seem to be really good, 4 year warranty as well.

With that battery I was surprised how much quicker the engine spins over when cranking.

I think I've bigged up the battery too much lol

RE: Broken hdi... - Just Sean - 27-03-2013

i looked at bosch silver's on halfords... 120 without trade discount...

£75 at CP4L http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/c/Peugeot_306_2.0_2000/p/car-parts/car-electrics-and-car-lighting/electrical/car-battery/?444770278&1&67f1931036fdb9cc8846356b82a25b0d14746efe&000020

But trust me on the Exide Premium I linked to on my other post. For the price you can't go wrong.
