Why is it that people call the old XUD9 a dturbo when the Dturbo model was available with HDI's as well?

RE: Dturbo? - Bananalad - 15-03-2013

Dturbo is a trim level in the hdi its not actually reffering to the engine

Also an XUD9 isn't necessarily a turbo. the turbos are XUD9TE

I think that's the point lol it's a trim level on both of them... Don't really know why it stuck, all kinds of trim levels end up being called a "DT"

I think its becuase there was no engine 'name' and it is a 'deisel turbo'...even pov spec were 'LXDT' as far as I know. It just happens that it stuck, then when they brought out the HDi, it had an engine name (HDi) to go with the trim level (DTurbo)...

If that makes sense haha.
