hdi break wear sensors - chris.rawe - 06-03-2013 hey any one know why someone had cut off the break wear sensors from my car, is this a common fault etc or was someone being huge donkey cock....... oh also has anyone got a pic of wear the wire comes through the wheel arch, i cant find the connector or any old bit of cut wire.... cheers RE: hdi break wear sensors - cwspellowe - 06-03-2013 You've answered your own question. Wear sensors are a bag of shit and you won't really miss them. The previous owner probably realised they don't work a long time ago and ripped them out. RE: hdi break wear sensors - C2K - 07-03-2013 As far as i remember, HDi didn't use them anyway. I presume by removed them you mean cut the sensors off the pads? In which case this is why! RE: hdi break wear sensors - Jonny81191 - 07-03-2013 Only 306 i've seen with pad sensors was my brother's N reg. XUD sedan. I just chop the wires off new pads before fitting. RE: hdi break wear sensors - C2K - 07-03-2013 GTi6s had them, but other than that as you say i've rarely seen them. RE: hdi break wear sensors - chris.rawe - 07-03-2013 cool cheers, i went to change my pads today, thinking i had standard brakes.....turns out i have gti6 calipers......which explains the sensors on the pads and not the car lol.......cheers all RE: hdi break wear sensors - titch - 07-03-2013 I had the same, my hdi does not have the wear sensors but when i went to gsf the pads listed for my car had the wires on for the wear sensors on, so i just cut them off as far as i know thats what most people do. |
