Tinting Film on Lights - WiNgNuTz - 22-02-2013 Just wondering, as i've got some 50% window tinting film knocking about, wondered if i could use that on the LED lights i bought, instead of tint spray. What do we think people? Not too sure it'll be very easy to apply it to curved glass, this is the thought. RE: Tinting Film on Lights - Eeyore - 22-02-2013 try it. you can always peel it off. I had enough film to make 4 patches big enough to do a cluster, but the first one I tried, really struggled to get it to lay flat. Ended up with creases all over the place! Any tips? RE: Tinting Film on Lights - Eeyore - 24-02-2013 Use a heatgun and then its stretchier. If you have bubbles use a scalpal or craft knife to make a small cut about 2mm in the bubble. Then you can push all the hair out through the hole and it isnt noticeable afterwards! oh and of course work from the centre out! I was thinking about tinting the speedo plastic window yellow with the film to match the fogs, a bit of subtle and probably unnoticable colour coding which no one but me would notice!
