RE: :'( - bigcheez2k3 - 18-02-2013

Pics? Is a bad situation but always good to see pics of the damage.

Think it could be related to the way it was performing on the Dyno?

Now I'm more scared of mine doing it too.

RE: :'( - David - 18-02-2013

Well my "old" engine only had 150337 miles on it

RE: :'( - Ben - 18-02-2013

Don't suppose you know which rod gave up? I read somewhere that apparently the third one is normally the one to go, just wondering if thats the case?

RE: :'( - David - 18-02-2013

Don't know which one mate but the big hole is behind the oil filter housing and slightly to the left of it if its any help?

RE: :'( - the milkman - 19-02-2013

If we start collecting all these rods that are being chucked and weigh them in we can buy a gold plated. 306 we would be that rich!! Matt and david can donate first

RE: :'( - David - 19-02-2013

Haha sounds like a good idea or just buy something none French?

RE: :'( - Jonny81191 - 19-02-2013

Because it's clearly the car's fault.... lol

There's a stock XUD9TE on something like 979,000 miles. They're bombproof until you chuck a lot of boost at them.

RE: :'( - Toms306 - 19-02-2013

Oh dear David, not good! Sad

Yes, just one. That doesn't mean every other one in the world would be capable of reaching milage like that. Rolleyes

RE: :'( - David - 19-02-2013

I still blame the frog leg eating French ha.

Never mind though thanks to Chris and Sam who will be fitting my new engine for me over the next week while I have to work!

I understand what your saying about the boost but no word of a lie I hardly ever take it over 20-25psi!

RE: :'( - Jonny81191 - 19-02-2013

I was just using it as an example Tom, I'm sure there are others.
