Speedo Issues - Chris - 16-02-2013 Having a issue with the speedo atm. After I've been driving for around 10-15 mins the speedo will start dropping then bouncing back up (around 5-10mph) this is more noticeable the faster your going. Ive checked to see if its the trip computer interfering and with it unpluged its still the same. Im guessing its on of the flowing; The dials themselves the VSS The car wiring Will be changing the dials at some point tomorrow, and I have a HDi VSS I can try if needs be. Does anyone else have any ideas on what it could be? RE: Speedo Issues - puggyhdi - 16-02-2013 Mine does the same sort of thing it will be at the correct speed for a while then drops to 0 then it will go back up to the right speed again but when it drops to 0, it kills the power slightly then u can feel pick up again when the speedo gets to the right speed. it does it now and then weird stuff. RE: Speedo Issues - Niall - 16-02-2013 Speed sensor slowly giving up. New one is about £30 RE: Speedo Issues - jay8086 - 16-02-2013 It'll be the speed sensor [VSS] but make sure you get the right one. There aee at least 2 types. I replaced a non working one with a working other type one, it'll appear to work then drop out coz the connector is very slightly different. Second hand working ones are usually £10-15 off ebay or fellow members, just make sure its the right one. |
