has anyone got photo of 1.6 petrol engine,the reason being there is a small black box which fits onto spade which is on rocker cover,can anyone advise me what this is for,cheers for any help.

Hi.
you mean the small black box, with one wire on it,
which fastens to threaded bolt on the coil pack, ?
if so it is a Suppressor to stop the feedback on the radio,
