iv a 306 hdi an was drivin along last night aboot to go in to 3rd gear and the car konkd out now it wont start for Sh*t anyone have any ideas on wat it could be ie timing belt sensors?

Maybe the lift pump has given up ?

as i was putin the foot down in 2nd to change til 3rd the car gave a shutter then just went to sleep think il hav to get the profesionals hopefuly its nuhin major but i do have a spare heart for her if worst cums to it lol

When you turn the key to the second click can you hear the pump in the back prime?

Yea my guess would be fuel pump, the in tank one.

Might be worth checking the fuel shut off switch next to the n/s strut tower. The missus hit a pothole in her 206 and it cut out and wouldn't start, turned out to be just a case of pressing the button back in.

Fuel filter - change it try again
FPR - take it off give it a clean
If that fails, scrap it
